Community Member Thanks Master Gardener
September 20, 2007
If you drove by Olympia West in the early morning hours this summer, you likely saw Sharon Swartzendruber, a third grade teacher, out in the school garden. Mrs. Swartzendruber has donated many hours over the years to care for and maintain the beautiful school garden. Recently Mrs. Swartzendruber's efforts were recognized by a community member who stopped by Olympia West to drop off a small token of appreciation. The Minier resident wished to remain anonymous, but the staff and students at Olympia West do not. We too appreciate Mrs. Swartzendruber’s love for the outdoors and her commitment to our school garden.
