OHS Library/Media Center has new look!

by Susan Mullen

September 21, 2007

The OHS Library/Media Center has a new computer lab! Twenty computers were added to the library's sixteen existing computers.  An Infocus projector is used to project computer images for student learning.  This gives the library a fantastic new look and function!

You will find over 15,000 resources at the library.  The library collection includes books, magazines, videos/DVD's, reference materials, computers and a professional shelf.  Be sure to click on the OHS Library Web site. The web site includes library information, book club news, databases, research help, current school activities, like the homecoming week schedule, and even The Torch online.  Book Club begins Wednesday, September 26, 2007 during advisories.  All students are welcome to join!

New books arrive on a monthly basis.  Students and teachers are encouraged to make suggestions for new purchases.  At the library, there is a memorial display for 9/11, several new book displays, and a display celebrating the theme for homecoming:  "There's No Place Like Olympia!"
