Third Graders Receive Dictionaries
October 12, 2007
Third grade students at Olympia West received free dictionaries on Thursday. Walter G. Wright Telecom Pioneers received funding from the Verizon Foundation allowing them to provide dictionaries to third grade students in McLean County. Volunteers from the organization came to West on the afternoon of October 11th. After explaining some of the features of the dictionary, the volunteers distributed one dictionary to each student. Students were very excited to receive their dictionaries.
Students at West were able to benefit from this program because Olympia is part of the McLean County Regional Office of Education.
