Biographical Information

I was born and raised in Durand, Illinois.  I grew up on a farm that has been in my family for over one hundred years. Throughout high school I played football, basketball, and ran track.  I was very active in student life as a member of student council, National Honor Society, and was class president.  After graduating high school in 1998 I attended Illinois State University.

At Illinois State University I majored in Social Science education.  During my second year at Illinois State, I met my future wife Jami.  After three and a half years of classes, I student taught at Flanagan High School.  Following student teaching I was hired at Badger High School in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.  After my second year of teaching I got married and my wife was still attending vet school at the University of Illinois and I moved to Champaign.  When I lived in Champaign I was employed at Fisher High School- the home of the Bunnies.  After one year there, my wife got a job in Flora, Illinois and I taught at Flora High School.  My wife and I wanted to move back to the Central Illinois area and in the spring of 2006 we moved to Mackinaw, Illinois.  She got a job at the Tremont Vet Clinic and I was hired at Olympia in the summer of 2006.

Along with teaching, I also coach football at Olympia.  I am the head junior varsity coach and help with the varsity.  In my spare time my wife and I share a love for the Green Bay Packers.  I am also a huge Cubs fan.

My wife and I are also pleased to announce that we are expecting our first child!  The expectant due date is June 11th, 2008.  We found out on Thursday February 7th that we are expecting a little boy.  Jami and I are very excited.
