OHS Holds Labor Career Day
by Caitie Ross & Lydia Schmidgall
November 30, 2007
On November 20th, there
was an informational meeting for careers in the labor fields. The
Olympia students chose from the fields of a general contractor,
automotive repairs, construction trade unions and a speaker from
Mitsubishi.
The speakers talked about how to get the job they were representing
and what they did in their free time, if they had any. Some of the
labor careers dealt with automotive jobs and others
construction.
Many of the Olympia students have enjoyed the opportunity to look at all the jobs that were in their area. The students were allowed to chose which career they wanted to go to, but only one in that career.
Olympia Career Opportunities has been a success so far with only one career remaining. The last career day is Drawing/Design/Fine Arts on December 11th. Students are encouraged to sign up with their advisors. Please contact your advisor if you have any questions.
