Michelle’s Bridal Shop Scholarship

  • Criteria:  Must be a high school female senior.  You must go to Michelle’s Bridal Shoppe/M2, The Place for Prom to register.  Award will be determined through a drawing on 5-3-2008
  • Amount:  $500

Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago

         Deadline:  4-28-08

        Criteria:  must have a diagnosis of epilepsy or seizure disorder

         Amount:  three $1,000 scholarships

University of Illinois Balanced Man Scholarship

        Criteria:  incoming male U. of I. Student, scholarship, leadership, athletics, and   community service.

        Amount: three $2,000 scholarships

 Mediacom World Class Scholarship

         Criteria:  school and community activities and a 100 words or less essay on “Goals”

        Amount:  $1.000

 Illini Club of McLean County

        Deadline: 4-28-08

         Criteria: must reside in McLean County and be planning to attend University of Illinois in the fall. 

        Amount: $1,000

 General Assembly Scholarship, Rep. Keith Sommer

  • Website:  none, applications available in Guidance Office
  • Deadline:  5-2-2008
  • Criteria:  Must reside in the 106th District and plan to attend a state university in Illinois.  The 106th District includes parts of McLean and Tazewell County.  Selection based on academic achievement, community service and financial need.
  • Amount:  4 tuition waivers at a state university and 4 tuition waivers to University of Illinois
  • If unsure of your district, go to www.ilga.gov and under Additional Resources go to Legislator Lookup and verify your address within the district.

Danvers Junior Woman's Club Educational Grant

         Criteria must be from Danvers…selection based on school and community activities, educational and career goals

         Amount:  two $500 grants

 Scott Ewing Memorial Scholarship

        Deadline 5-2-08

        Criteria:  3.0 G.P.A. or better; active member of any church in the Olympia district (e.g. S.S. teacher, youth group leader, music ministry, choir member, etc)

        Amount:  three $500 scholarships

 Excellence in Agriculture Scholarship

        Website:  www.treasurer.il.gov, click on Programs, then Scholarships or pick up an application in the Guidance Office

        Deadline:  5-15, 2008

        CriteriaPlans to pursue a college degree and career in agriculture or ag-related field

        Amount ten $2500 scholarships statewide

Illinois State University Farmhouse Fraternity Scholarship

        Deadline:  5-26-08

        Criteria:  Must be a male student planning to attend I.S.U.  Criteria is based on the core values of the fraternity: intellectually, spiritually, socially, morally and physically.

        Amount:  one $500 scholarship

OSF St. Joseph Medical Center Auxiliary Scholarship

        Deadline: 6-1-08

         Criteria: Plans to enroll in a healthcare program, financial need, academic performance and career interest

        Amount: one $2,000 and two $1,000 scholarships

Colleen Hoch Arbuckle Scholarship

         Deadline:  5-2-08

         Criteria:  Student must be a girl who lives in Minier or Little Mackinaw Township, be of good character and high morals, and possess a minimum 3.0 GPA.

 William and Clara Riddle Hoch Scholarship

         Deadline:  5-2-08

         Criteria:  Student must be a boy who lives in Minier or Little Mackinaw Township, be of good character and high morals, and possess a minimum 3.0 GPA

 2008 Psi Upsilon Scholarship

         Criteria:  Student must be a male who exhibits the highest moral, intellectual and social excellence.  Student must have plans to attend the University of Illinois

         Amount:  one $1,000 and two $500 awards

 Niki Hutchcraft Scholarship

         Deadline:  5-2-08

         Criteria:  Must be a senior girl letter winner who has displayed devotion to her sports, demonstrates sportsman and leadership and possesses high morals.
