Santa Shop

December 6th and 7th PTO sponsored the Santa Shop co-chaired by parents Marcia Schopp and Sarah Nickols. This yearly event allows students to do a little Christmas shopping on their own. Prior to December 6th each student was given an inventory of items that would be available at the Santa Shop and an envelope. On the 6th and 7th students returned their envelopes with a list of people to shop for and an estimated amount to spend on each person. PTO volunteers assisted students with their shopping and wrapping of gifts.
The Santa Shop took approximately 10 volunteer hours to set-up. For the two days that the Santa Shop was open at least five parent volunteers were needed for each hour. In all, it is estimated that PTO parents volunteered a minimum of 70 hours to make this event happen. Thank you PTO!
Special thanks to PE teachers Loretta Bachman and Diana Davis who allowed students to use their PE time for shopping. Students participated in PE activities over the two days that easily accommodated children coming and going.
