Wonderful ESPs at West
January 07, 2008
If you’ve been at West this year you’ve probably noticed a lot of Educational Support Personnel (ESP) working with our children. The students at West are very fortunate to have the dedicated, caring support of these ESP.
| They serve as bus drivers, cooks, classroom aides, individual aides, reading aides, office support and library aides. These wonderful individuals allow the classroom teacher to do his or her job more effectively. | |
| So, I decided to take a walk out of the office and down the hall with my camera. In just my short trip I saw many of the things I see on a daily basis: aides working one-on-one with students to reinforce previously taught skills, aides reading with children and asking comprehension questions, cooks preparing lunch (nachos and tater tots), library aide re-shelving books in the library and secretaries greeting parents and delivering messages to students. I quickly realized what a wonderful staff we have at West. The staff is full of adults who truly care for the students they assist and strive to help all children be successful. |
