HMC Celebrates National Athletic Training Month 2008
Hopedale, IL— Hopedale Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine, located within the Hopedale Wellness Center, is proud to celebrate National Athletic Training Month during March. This year’s theme is “Who’s Taking Care of Your Kids?”
The National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) represents professionals who specialize in the prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses. Certified Athletic Trainers (ATC) are allied healthcare professionals who hold at least a bachelor’s degree and are focused on injury prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation particularly in the orthopedic and musculoskeletal disciplines. Athletic trainers provide value and financial return on investment to secondary schools, occupational employers, physicians, hospitals, and clinics. For more information about the profession of athletic training please visit the website www.nata.org.
Currently Hopedale Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine provides outreach athletic training services to 4 local high schools: Olympia, Hartem, Tremont and Delavan. They also provide free injury evaluations by appointment. During the summer, a Summer Sports Performance Training Program is offered.
