Olympia West Change War

Last week Olympia West held a Change War between all of the classes. Monday the students brought pennies, Tuesday nickels, Wednesday dimes, and Thursday quarters. Friday was a pizza party for the winning class. It was a very close race, the Pre-K/ECE and PMI classes won with $341!!
The school raised a total of $1,966.59. Mrs. Ballard, a teacher at West, is raising money to participate in the Breast Cancer 3 Day Walk this summer in Chicago. With this and other fundraising activities, she has met her goal! As a thank you for the awesome participation every class received ice cream bars! A special thanks goes to the Minier Community Bank for counting all of the change!
