Corporal Dobson Visits Third Grade

Third graders from Olympia North were reunited with their pen pal last week. The students from Mrs. Westerfield's class have been writing to Corporal David L. Dobson while he was stationed in AL Taqaddum, Iraq. While in Iraq, David was a heavy equipment operator in charge of road repair work.
David is a 1999 graduate of Olympia HS. He is the son of Ed and Shirley Dobson of Minier. David and his wife, Julie, have a daughter named Lilly. Lilly was only two days old when her dad was sent to Iraq.
David spent the afternoon with our class answering many questions from the students. We celebrated David's return with a "Welcome Home" party. My students and I thank David for protecting us and our country!
