St. Jude's Math-a-Thon
Olympia North Raises over $8000

For the last marvelous three weeks at Olympia North Elementary we have been doing the Math-a-Thon. The Math-a-Thon is a fundraiser for St. Jude Research Hospital to raise money for childhood cancer. One hundred thirty three kids participated! They did between 200-250 math problems and each problem raised money for St. Jude’s.
The coordinator was Mrs. Terri Steffen. She is one of our fabulous second grade teachers. The top fundraiser for our school was Angel Greenwood, a spectacular Kindergartener from Mrs. Stroud’s class who raised $610.00! Last year our school raised $5,000.00 and this year we raised $8,013.00 this year! We increased by a whopping amount of 3,000 dollars.
