OHS Holds Breakfast of Champions

by Courtney Martin, OHS Torch Reporter

May 13, 2008

"It is a rare person who comes along and raises the standards of excellence, who captures the hearts of many, and inspires others, by their determination to succeed."

This was the quote on the certificates of the students honored at the Breakfast of Champions. The Breakfast of Champions is a program that was started about 7 years ago and is sponsored by State Farm.

The purpose of it is to recognize and distinguish students that have demonstrated behaviors and actions that serve as positive examples for the student body.

At the end of March, students are nominated by a teacher, and then invitations are sent to parents in early April.  The students do not know which teacher nominated them until the morning of the Breakfast of Champions.
