Boys Track Team Still Running

With the season ending, some of the boys are still in full on track mode. The boys track conference was Monday, May 5, 2008 at Rantoul.
Many of the boys set their own personal records throughout the night. Junior Derrick Rider was setting his left and right with first the triple, jumping over 39 feet. When he headed over to 300 meter dash hurdles, he finished with a time of 42.5 seconds. The school record was less than 3 seconds away.
Another familiar name on this year’s track team is Junior Chris Dubree. In most meets, Chris throws the shot over 50 feet. At the conference on Monday, Chris threw at 51.5 feet in the shot and a 104.5 in discus.
Those are just two of the boys succeeding in track and field this year. Way to go, boys track!
