Olympia North fifth grade discovers how useful percents are when comparing different items. They used their knowledge of percents and a balance scale to find out how much of a grapefruit, an orange, and a banana you can eat. Percents are a great way to compare. They discovered that the grapefruit had a larger part that is eatable. A banana had the least amount, but the orange tasted great!
