How Do You Compare Oranges, Grapefruits and Bananas?

Use Percents, of Course!

Olympia North fifth grade discovers how useful percents are when comparing different items. They used their knowledge of percents and a balance scale to find out how much of a grapefruit, an orange, and a banana you can eat. Percents are a great way to compare. They discovered that the grapefruit had a larger part that is eatable. A banana had the least amount, but the orange tasted great!
