Olympia High School students were able to hear Ashley's Story recently at the high school auditorium. Randy and Cathy Waddell were here to tell students about their daughter, Ashley Waddell, who died tragically in a single car collision on September 28, 2005. They have shared this story with over 24,000 people in 65 presentations in an attempt to influence the choices that our young drivers make behind the wheel. Along with Randy Waddell were Dave Kaeb, an EMT and one of the first responders to Ashley's accident, and Jamie Halverson, Ashley's best friend.
The message was very important as students listened and were reminded of how fragile life can be. Students have signed a poster in the commons this past week as well as they have made a pledge to drive safely. Thank you to the Waddell family for sharing Ashley's Story.
