Ministerial Alliance Meets for 2011-12
Annual Meeting
Ministers from Olympia area churches met with Olympia Administration on Monday, September 19, 2011. They enjoyed a lunch prepared by Olympia Food Services at the district office. Superintendent Brad Hutchison welcomed the ministers followed by introductions including Jeremy Bradley, the new school resource officer. The group also saw an overview of the Olympia website.
In addition, Superintendent Hutchison gave an update on happenings in the district. Members of the alliance were updated on the opening of the new school year, enrollments, and activities by Principals Lance Thurman, OHS, and Andy Walsh, OMS.
After the lunch break, the ministers continued discussion which included See You at the Pole set for September 28, 2011 at 7:30 am and the student led spring Baccalaureate Program. The Scott Ewing Memorial Scholarship was outlined and will be awarded to a 2011 graduating senior.
Olympia School District values cooperation and communication with the churches in the communities. We hope it helps to open communication and tell the “Olympia Story”.
