H1N1 Vaccination Clinic at Olympia North to Be February 10
Immunization Clinic Rescheduled
The H1N1 clinic has been rescheduled at Olympia North. On Wednesday, February 10, 2010 the McLean County Health Department will hold an H1N1 vaccination clinic at the Olympia North Elementary School, 205 North State Street in Danvers, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The clinic is open to anyone who wishes to receive the H1N1 vaccine. You do not have to reside in McLean County.
As a reminder to parents, children ages 6 months through 9 years of age need two doses to be fully immunized against H1N1. Currently, 99 percent of viruses circulating are still H1N1 and a typical flu season lasts until May. Any flu can make children sick enough to miss school, activities or even be hospitalized. It’s not too late to protect your family from the flu—get vaccinated! For another line of defense, practice the three C’s:
- Cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze.
- Clean your hands using soap and water or hand sanitizer.
- Contain your germs by staying home if you’re sick.
