Music Students Represent Olympia in All State Choruses
Robert Park and Tiffany Tackett were chosen to perform in the All State Music Choruses this past weekend in Peoria. The All State convention is an annual event that showcases the best music talent in the state of Illinois. The convention features an All State Band, Chorus, and Orchestra and an Honors Band, Chorus, and Orchestra. There are a total of 9 districts in the state. Each year, students from around the state have the opportunity to audition for these ensembles at the district level. Tiffany and Rob auditioned in October along with 250 other students from our district. After all of the scores were compiled, students with the highest scores from each district are then invited to participate in the All State Music Concert in Peoria. Of the students chosen for the All State groups, an even more select group is chosen to participate in the Honors Band, Chorus, and Orchestra. Rob Park was chosen for the All State Honors Chorus. Congratulations to Tiffany and Robert Park for their outstanding achievement!!
