Six Wrestlers Advance to Sectionals
The wrestling season is about to end for some, but they put their hearts out on the mat at Regionals. The wrestling season is going good, but the real test was on Saturday at D-mac for Regionals. Before the meet, Coach Cleary said, “They will wrestle well and they are ready to go.”
On Saturday, the wrestling team went to work. Six out of the thirteen wrestlers moved out to Sectionals. With a first place finish in his weight class is Rob Furman at 215. Zack Thomas got 2nd in his weight class 285. Josh Thompson got 3rd in his weight class 152. Kameron Carpenter got 3rd in the 125 weight class. Rook Kassubaun got 2nd in the 119 weight class.
Wish the boy luck at Sectionals Friday and Saturday at Clinton.The boys have gone though some really hard competition this year. Eleven out of the 22 teams they faced this year are state ranked teams. They gone through some wars and hard matches.
