Driver Education’ Takes Eventful Trip to the Bus Garage
Driver Education is to teach students lessons about driving and to prepare them for when they start driving. It teaches a lot of basic information for being safe while you are behind the wheel and what to do if you have any car troubles.
Students from Mr. Hewitt’s driver education class went to the bus garage last week and learned many useful tips they will remember. They learned everything from how to change oil in a car to changing a flat tire.
Driver Education teacher Mr. Hewitt said, “The objective of this activity is to introduce students to routine car maintenance, including changing a tire, checking fluid levels, and battery related activities such as checking the charge and jump starting a vehicle. The driver ed. department hopes that through the hands on demonstration and training provided by Monty Shaffer, that students will be made more aware of procedures that will lengthen the life of their vehicle and reduce the costs of maintaining the vehicle."
Students will not be better educated on what to do if they ever come in contact with a problem going on with their car. This is a very great a successful way to teach students the proper ways and usages when it comes to dealing with their car.
