Morgan Ott, Olympia Grad, Named State FFA Officer
Morgan Ott, a 2009 Olympia graduate, from Danvers, Illinois was named to the officer team for the Illinois FFA State Organization. Morgan was elected by delegates on June 9, 2010 as the Reporter for the Illinois FFA organization. She will serve on a team of 5 officers.
Morgan studied nursing this past year at Heartland Community College. Each officer will put their collegiate pursuits on "hold" for a year as they serve the Illinois Association FFA. The officers will travel more than 20,000 miles during the year as they visit chapters around the state, conduct workshops and meetings, represent FFA at conventions and promote agricultural education. In January, the team will travel overseas for the International Leadership Seminar for State FFA officers. There are 17,400 members in 301 different FFA chapters in the State of Illinois.
The FFA organization prepares student for leadership and careers in the science, business, and technology of agriculture. This organization makes a huge impact on the lives of high school students across the state and across the nation. Olympia School District congratulates Morgan Ott!
