New Teacher Technology Guide
If you are a new teacher at Olympia you have a variety of technology tools to help you. Use this guide to help you get started:
Network login and password
• <first name> dot <last name>; Ex. jane.doe
• beginning password is olympia; log into a school computer and you will be prompted to change your password. Please use at least 8 characters; mix CAPS, lowercase, numbers and symbols
• Email
jane.doe@olympia.org
Outlook locally or Web email (www.olympia.org > Web email button)
• Moodle – you can find a Moodle button on your school website; use your network login and password
Educator Access (a.k.a. Skyward Student, EA+)
• Login will be same as network login: <first name> dot <last name>
• Password has been provided to you; change it if you want but please keep secure
• Go to www.olympia.org > Educator Access button
SOCS (a.k.a. the Olympia website)
- To create an article and submit to your principal/Editor
- Go to www.olympia.org/cs
- Your login is your entire Olympia email address including the @olympia.org
- Your SOCS password is the same as your Educator Access password
- Watch for SOCS training and see your Library Tech or your colleagues for help
Telephone
• You have been assigned a telephone with an extension.
• To listen to any voicemail messages, press the messages button on the phone. The first time you do this your passcode will be 123465 and you will be prompted to change your passcode.

Getting help with technology
• First place to go is to Technology Work Orders: go to Olympia homepage and on bottom right click the Technology Work Order button
• Fill in the appropriate information
• Enter the Work Req Password and submit the work order
• Also you have a resource person in your building called a Library Tech
