Five Students Eligible to Vote for State Book Award
On Friday, February 27, 2009 four students (one student was absent for the vote) voted for the Rebecca Caudill Young Readers’ Book Award. To be eligible to vote for this award, students had to be a fourth or fifth grade student and each student had to read at least three of the nominated books. In addition the students had to complete the AR quizzes for the books they read and get at least 80% of the questions correct. Those who completed this task and were eligible to vote from fifth grade were Josie M., Hannah B., Logan R., and Jason L. There was only one fourth grade student that was eligible to vote this year and that was Samantha H. The students had a party at the end of the day where they received a personalized bookmark for their efforts.
