First Annual U.C.S. Day
On Monday, December 21th, Olympia South held its first annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Day. Many of the teachers and staff came to school wearing their "best" Christmas attire. Even Mrs. O'Donnell dressed up for the occasion!
Some staff members really got into the spirit and added Christmas jewelry and hair accessories to make their outfits look extra festive. After school the staff had a party where those who had worn their most ornately decorated sweaters could participate in a pageant. Everyone voted on the person who was going to represent OSE as Miss Christmas 2009. Our winner this year was Mrs. Linda Hawker! And the runner-up was Miss O'Grady. Congratulations to them both!! Mrs. Hawker received a Christmas tiara, sash, and bouquet of poinsettias. This day was a lot of fun for the teachers and the students. Many students comments on how nice the teachers and staff looked. What a fun tradition- we can't wait to do it again next year!
