K12 Holds January Meeting
The K12 School Improvement Planning Council met January 28, 2010 at the district office. Superintendent Hutchison welcomed everyone and then introduced Scott Powers, Olympia’s technology director. The Council participated in an Ilinc (online demonstration) with Skyward, the software company used by Olympia. Skyward features Educator, Employee, and Family Access through the Olympia website.

- A Professional Learning Community update
- Olympia Staff Development
- A presentation by Chris Embry Mohr regarding Science curriculum
- A Physical Fitness Assessment update by Dan Lamboley and Mike Neisler
- State budget crisis
The K12 SIP Council consists of teachers representing each building and administrators. The next scheduled meeting for the Council is February 24, 2010.
