Check for Haiti Relief
School Collects over $1,000 for Red Cross
Thursday morning the school held an assembly. During the assembly, Mrs. Braffet, physical education teacher, and selected students presented Dr. Rummel and the school with a check made out to the Red Cross. Over a two week period, students donated loose change and dollar bills to the Red Cross Haiti Relief efforts. After all the money was counted, the school wrote a check to the American Red Cross for $1,019.81.
This month's character trait is caring. During the morning announcements the students have learned that charity is another form of caring. Their efforts this month to help those in need demonstrates they truly understand this month's character trait.
