Seventeen Named State Scholars
Olympia High School
Seventeen students at Olympia High School have been named 2012 State Scholars by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC). The State Scholar program recognizes Illinois high school students for outstanding academic achievement. Students selected ranked in the top half of their high school class at the end of their junior year and scored in the 95th percentile on the ACT, SAT or Prairie State Achievement Exam. While the program does not provide a monetary award, qualified students are encouraged to list the honor on applications for college admission and scholarships. This year’s State Scholars are pictured: Top Left-Erik Tuetsch, Jena Marlatt, Danielle Wiggington, Noah Litwiller, Lyndi Leesman, Jacob Irons, Seth Graves, Rachel Springer, Dylan Zindel-Bottom Left-Kaitlyn Birckelbaw, Christine Wigginton, Kali Hartzold, Taylor Cremeens, Jena Lee, Hannah Bauersfeld, Kassi Schroeder and Lyndsay Morr. State Scholars will receive a certificate of achievement at Academic Awards Night in May.
