Boys Swim Team ends their season well at the Sectionals Meet
The Boys Swim Team Sectionals Meet was on Saturday, February 20. Mostly everyone swam in the meet and got to compete in a race. There were a lot of people who set their best records at certain races and won their heats.
“We had a much better season than I anticipated at the beginning,” said Coach Hewitt after the Sectionals Meet.
Matt Schmidt broke the freshman sophomore school record and was only 8 points away from medaling. Jordan Thompson got 12th in the 100 backstroke. The Medley Relay Team of Jordan Thompson, Brett Johnson, Dylan Zindel, and Zach Zindel finished 7th and set a PR .Zach Zindel finished with his best record ever in the 100 freestyle and he won his heat. Dylan Phelps won his heat in the breast stroke. Matt Schmidt won his heat in freestyle and set his personal best record.
“The season was great, we had a lot of fun with the swimmers, and I’m really going to miss it,” said senior swimmer Jordan Thompson after the Sectionals Meet.
