Olympia High School Announcements – Mar. 11 
- Attention Students: The OHS Library Media Center is celebrating Teen Tech Week this week. Teen Tech Week is a national initiative aimed at helping teens gain tech skills! Check out the free trial to the Teen Health & Wellness database on the OHS Library Media Center Website, vote for your favorite book in the Virtual Battle of the Books and take part in a High Tech Treasure Hunt. One winner will be drawn at random from those who successfully complete the High Tech Treasure Hunt to receive a $20 gift Card! Come to the library or check out the OHS-LMC website for more information.
- Olympia High School Student Council will be hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive on Wednesday, March 31. You must be at least 16 years old to donate and there are additional height and weight requirements that must be met. Please pick up the information sheet and permission slip in the main office. All students who are interested in giving blood should stop in the office to sign up for a donation time. Students must sign up by 3:30 on Tuesday, March 30th. Sign ups will not be taken after this time! On the day of the blood drive all donors must have their photo ID or their Donor card.
- Attention all Student Council Members: Our next meeting is this Friday, March 12th during lunch!
- All juniors interested in applying for National Honor Society need to pick up an application from Mrs. Schmidgall in the main office. Deadline for application is Tuesday, March 30.
- Olympia High School cheerleading tryouts for next year will be on Friday, April 23. Tryout clinics will run Monday, April 19 – Thursday, April 20 from 3:30 – 5:30 in the OHS gym. Sideline cheers, jumps, stunt, the school song, and a dance will be learned. Tryout packets and sign up sheets will be in the middle school and high school offices at the beginning of April. - Junior or senior boys interested in a discount, or possibly a free tux rental from Jimmies Formal Wear, please see Mrs. Davis in A22 today for more information. They are looking for five models to help with their Prom 2010 promotion. *Please be aware that the date for this years Prom 2010 “Magic Masquerade” is Saturday, April 24th at the Lafayette Club in Bloomington.
- The OHS Boys’ Basketball and Basketball Cheer Banquet has been set for Monday, March 15th at 6:15 p.m. in the OHS Cafeteria. Flyers are available in the main office. Freshmen boys’ need to bring their basketball uniforms with them to the banquet to turn in.
