Olympia North Elementary Helps Haiti
The Olympia North Elementary School Student Council presents a check to Sondra Hayes of the American Red Cross.
Congratulations Olympia North Elementary School - We raised $526.83 for victims of the earthquake in Haiti. Thank you to all students who participated in the Penny Drive for Haiti. The money has been donated to the American Red Cross. The Red Cross will use the funds to pay for tents and tarps for homeless men, women, and children. More than half of the 1.3 million homeless people in Haiti have received these items from the Red Cross. As of March 9, approximately $354 million dollars has been given to the Haiti relief effort. Once again, thank you for participating in the Penny Drive.
