Fire Department Participates in Fire Drill
The Minier Volunteer Fire Department participated in a fire drill at Olympia West today. Students evacuated the building in less than two minutes, even with an exit blocked. In well under five minutes, all accountability steps were completed.
As part of the drill, the fire department observed the process and compared it to our school crisis plan protocol. Suggestions on ways to improve student safety were discussed.
West would like to thank the fire department, Fire Chief Troyer, and Police Chief Weseloh for their participation in today's drill.
