On Friday, February 2nd, 7th graders participated in a read-a-thon during English class. Students in Mrs. Hembra and Mrs. Wade's classes wore comfy clothes, brought blankets and pillows, and snuggled up with a good book and some hot cocoa for a day of reading.
One student commented, "I liked how there was time set aside for me to really focus on reading. I love reading so much and I can sit for hours and read, but recently I haven't had much time. This really got me out of my reading slump." Students are already looking forward to the next day of reading!
