The OHS Varsity Wrestling Team had their first tournament of the season today at Illini Bluffs. It was a very successful day with 2 tournament champions, several placers, and taking home first overall as a team! It’s going to be a great season this year for our wrestlers!

The JV and Varsity Girls Basketball team kicked off the holiday break with a pair of wins in the home opener against East Peoria. The Spartans have 3 home games next week, starting with Prairie Central on Monday at the OMS Gym. Come out and continue to show your support!

Congrats to the Spartans on a 2nd place finish in the Clinton Turkey Tussle. Senior Hannah Cleveland receives All-Tournament Team honors. The Spartans are now 3-1 and will take on East Peoria on Tuesday at the OMS gym.

The Girls Basketball Team post another win in the Turkey Tussle over Decatur Eisenhower 59-33. They are now 3-0 on the season and will be playing in the Championship game on Saturday at 5:30 PM vs Porta @ Clinton High School. We need #SpartanNation to pack this gym, come on out!!

OMS 7th Grade Girls Basketball defeated Tri-Valley 25-16, to take the Regional Championship. They will play for the Sectional Championship vs. Washington MS on November 29th, 6:30 at Lincoln Junior High.

Yesterday Emma Swartzendruber ran in the IHSA state xc meet at Detweiller Park. The weather was perfect and Emma ran great. She finished 54th out of 199. Emma had an amazing season, and ended it perfectly! We will be seeing a lot more out of her in the future.
