
The OHS boys track team competed at the 13-team Metamora Invite today. The team racked up 32 personal records throughout the day and top finishers included:
Nolen Yeary(5th in shot put with an all-time best toss of 45' 9")
Reygan Sitton(6th in 100 m dash at 11.59)
Keagan Uphoff(3rd in 110 hurdles at 16.33 & 2nd in high jump at 6' 2")
Cooper Phillips, CJ Moore, Wyatt Reinhart, & Evan Petri were 4th place in the JV 3200 m relay.
Logan Demling, Caden Clark, Jacob Lawless, & Logan Farquhar we're 6th in the varsity 3200 m relay.
Congratulations guys! The Spartans will be back in action next Tuesday at Lincoln.

Varsity softball with a 11-0 victory over Rochester in 5 innings. Multi-hit game for Kat Springer, Jordyn Turner, Danika Frazier, Shelby Finchum and Lydia Rutledge. Lydia with 4 RBIs. Danika with a 2-hit shutout, improving to 7—1.

The JV Baseball game scheduled for today April 5th at Olympia vs. Normal West has been cancelled.

Olympia Varsity Softball defeated Pleasant Plains 15-0 in 4 innings.

Varsity Softball defeated Tremont 3-0. Multi-hit game for Kat Springer, Jordyn Turner, Danika Frazier and Shelby Finchum with Danika tossing a no-hitter. Spartans improve to 4-1. JV girls won 4-0.

Congrats to Keagan Uphoff for earning a 7th place medal in the high jump (6' 1.5") at the IL Top Times Indoor Meet at Wesleyan today!Keagan qualified in the high jump and the 60 m hurdles, where they invite the top 12 and 24 athletes in the state, respectively.


The softball games scheduled for Saturday March 25th vs. Lincoln and Metamora at Metamora have been cancelled.

The varsity and JV soccer games scheduled for today March 24th at Meridian High School have been cancelled.

Due to field conditions, we are moving the location of today's varsity and JV baseball games. The varsity will now play at Pekin at 4:15pm and the JV will play at Olympia on the JV field at 4:30pm.

Todays college spotlight is Saint Marry's College in South Bend, Indiana . We are spotlighting this college because their representative was unable to meet up with our students earlier this week. Keep and eye out for more college spotlights coming your way!

The OHS boys' track team traveled back to the U of I Armory in Urbana yesterday for the 43rd Annual Gene Armer Invitational, where more than 50 teams from all over the state congregated for one of the most competitive indoor track meets in the state. With entries limited to only one athlete per event (per team), the Spartans were whittled down to a 12-man squad but they were able to rack up 18 PRs on the day and Keagan Uphoff earned 4th place medals in the high jump & the 60 meter hurdles! All three relay teams smashed the previous season-best times:
Logan Demling, Cooper Phillips, C.J. Moore, & Jacob Lawless dropped 12 seconds in the 3200 meter relay(9:08.88).
Reygan Sitton, Chase Ragar, Cohen Alexander, & Keagan Uphoff shaved 2 seconds off in the 800 meter relay(1:38.57).
Keagan Uphoff, Reygan Sitton, Logan Demling, & Cohen Alexander chopped off 23 seconds in the 1600 meter relay(3:42.76)!
The following athletes set new all-time record performances in individual events:
