Sun bucks

Summer EBT (now called Sun Bucks) is a federally funded program that provides grocery-buying benefits to low-income families with school-aged children when schools are closed for the summer. This summer each eligible child will receive a one time payment of $120 to use to purchase food during the summer months. The funds will be added to student EBT cards that were previously issued and new cards will be sent for those students that have not received an EBT card in the past.

Olympia students that have qualified for free or reduced benefits during the 2023-2024 school year will automatically be eligible for Sun Bucks. If you have any questions about if your student should be eligible, please contact Ami Lawson at ami.lawson@olympia.org or 309-379-6011 ext 1127.
