Spartans (1-1) lose in OT to Armstrong. Leading scorer was Cael Halley with 14. Ben Tackett and Carter Kashner added 11 a piece to lead a balanced scoring attack. The Spartans are back in action Friday afternoon at GCMS against Lexington at 4 pm. #G.R.I.T

Varsity girls basketball traveled to the first ever Hornet Hoopsgiving Tournament at Eureka. The team improved so much over the three day tournament and Elyse Eimer earned an All Tournament Team selection! Congrats Elyse!

The OMS Boys Basketball Team took on El Paso Gridley at home. Both teams did a great job at defending home court. The 7th grade team won 31-14 with Luke Milligan (10 points) and Ben Britt (7 points) leading the team in scoring. The 8th grade team put on a great showing winning 50-28 with Cade Yoder (14 points) and Will Langley (11 points) leading their team in scoring. The OMS Boys Basketball Team traveled to Auburn Saturday for a doubleheader against Auburn and North Mac. The 7th Grade team won against North Mac in their first game 40-12 with Isaiah Gaither (14 points) and Reece Peifer (7 points) leading the team in scoring. In Game Two the Spartans won 30-13 against Auburn. Reece Peifer (9 points), Isaiah Gaither (8 points), and Ben Britt (8 points) led the team in scoring. The 8th Grade team started the day out with a win against North Mac 54-26 with Will Langley (21 points) and Cade Yoder (10 points) leading the team in scoring. In Game Two the Spartans battled hard but lost 34-41 with Cade Yoder (16 points) and Easton Boudeman (9 points) leading the team in scoring. The Boys are back in action Tuesday at Chiddix. On Saturday, November 8, the OHS Speech Team took FIRST PLACE overall in Team Sweeps at the Limestone Tournament. They had 20 events that placed in Varsity Finals with 5 Tournament Champions. Grayson Rummel won Humorous Interpretation and Original Comedy, Ava Crebo won Prose Reading, Madeline Walker won Radio Speaking, and Evelyn Emberton won Original Oratory. We are so proud of this amazing team and cannot wait to see how the rest of the season goes!

The OMS Boys had their final game of the Eureka Tip Off Tournament on Saturday. The boys battled hard against Eureka. The 7th Grade team lost 18-28 with Isaiah Gaither leading the team in scoring with 13. The 8th grade team battled all four quarters but ended up losing 43-72 with Cade Yoder scoring 23 points. The Spartans are back in action Tuesday at home against Kingsly.
