The Olympia School District will have preschool screenings during the last week of April, 2023. Preschool screenings are available for children age three through five. This is a process to determine where children fall developmentally in areas such as motor skills, concepts, language, and behavior. Based on the results of the screening, a recommendation will be made to let you know if your child qualifies for the program. This screening is mandatory for children to qualify for the Pre-K program.
We will have three screening dates in April, one for each elementary:
Monday, April 24- Olympia North Elementary (at the Danvers Community Building)
Tuesday, April 25- Olympia West Elementary (at the Minier Christian Church)
Wednesday, April 26- Olympia South Elementary (at the Atlanta Christian Church)
PLEASE NOTE: Your child must be 3 years old on or before the day of the screening.
If you are interested in having your child screened, please click HEREand complete the Google form. An email will be sent afterwards with an appointment time and needed paperwork.
If you have any questions or issues with the form, please contact Ami Lawson at the District Office: firstname.lastname@example.org, 309-379-6011 ext 1127. If for any reason, school is cancelled or there are gathering restrictions on a screening date, the DIAL preschool screenings will also be cancelled and a makeup session will be scheduled at a later date.
