face masks required

As the start of the new school year is quickly approaching, we would like to remind those who will be entering any of our school buildings that masks are now required per the Governor's Executive Order.   The mask mandate extends to all visitors, as well as to staff and students.  Masks are required if you are attending meetings at the school, in addition to during in-person registration for school, school board meetings, athletic competitions, or any other event that takes place inside one of our buildings.   The mask mandate only applies to indoor settings so masks are currently not required for outdoor school events.

Below is an statement that was released on the "Public Health Requirements for Schools":

The new guidance is based on updated CDC guidance for COVID-19 prevention in K-12 schools and the Sate of Illinois updated Executive Order.  Executive Order 2021-18 requires that masks be worn indoors by teachers, staff ,students, and visitors to P-12 schools, regardless of vaccination status.  The State of Illinois also requires all public and nonpublic schools to comply with contact tracing, in combination with isolation and quarantine, as directed by state and local public health departments.

We look forwarding to welcoming all the students back in the buildings on Wednesday, August 18th for the first full day of the 2021-22 school year!
