Once kids go online, their chances of finding cyberbullies, haters, and trolls is, sadly, quite high. Find age-specific guidelines, videos, and articles to help with tough conversations -- whether your kid is a bully or is being bullied. Explore answers to all your cyberbullying questions, age-appropriate advice, school resources, and more from parents and experts. https://www.commonsensemedia.org/cyberbullying

West first graders enjoyed a STEM challenge today! After reading about and learning the purpose of a scarecrow, students were challenged to build their own. First, they designed a scarecrow. Next, they had to build a group scarecrow that incorporated an idea from each group member's design. Lastly, they had to ensure moving pieces functioned to scare away the birds. This activity was also fabulous Social Studies reinforcement- working in groups fairly while listening to opinions, and agreeing/disagreeing respectfully.

The Pre-K students love listening to their 4th grade book buddies!

Kindergarten has been learning about the life cycle of a butterfly. Some of our favorite activities were observing a real chrysalis, releasing the butterfly, and symmetry painting.
