October is Principals Month

October is National Principal Appreciation Month.  We are lucky to be blessed with great Principals and Assistant Principals at Olympia!   Thank you both for all you do!

Principal Dr. Ed Jodlowski - OHS Principal Since 2015

Where did I go to college?   Illinois State University BS - English Education, Illinois State University - MA - Reading, University of Illinois Springfield - Type 75 Certification, Eastern Illinois University - Superintendent Endorsement, SIUE - Doctoral in Educational Leadership

The people I spend my time with:  My wife Colleen - my four boys, Evan (his wife Molly), Cameron (his wife Katherine), Kenyon (his girlfriend, Allison) and Griffen (his girlfriend, Paige).  I also spend a lot of time with four legged friends - my goats.

The best thing about working in Spartan Nation:  I love the environment - Olympia has its own culture.  I have been a part of this district for 50 years as a student, teacher, parent, and administrator!

A fun fact about me:  I have national champion winning dairy goats!

I became a principal because:  I wanted to have an impact on the entire school system.

The best thing about my job is: I love the people I work with - students, parents, and staff make each day wonderful!

Where did I go to college?  Received a BS in Education and a Masters of Science in Education at Illinois State University

I spend my time with: significant other Erin Johnson and our 5 children  Sophie (18), Charlee(16), Cash(12), Bo(11), and Finn(8)

A fun fact about me:  I was in the Air Force and raced cars before starting my career in education

I became a principal because: I wanted to be in a position to have the greatest positive influence on a large scale.
