On Friday evening the Atlanta Public Library and Museum hosted a reception for their current exhibits which included a guest exhibit provided by the Smithsonian, a local exhibit, and student and community artwork. The exhibits and work share the common theme of community and school experiences in the rural setting. Pictured are Anne Usherwood, Evan Gaither, and Gabrielle Kaeb who had artwork and photographed interviews provided for the exhibit. Check it out during museum hours: Thursday-Saturday from 10am-3pm or Sunday at 12pm-3pm.

Olympia West Elem School, 302 N School St, Minier, is open as a warming center. If your power is out and you need a warm, safe place and some food, you are welcome to come.

HS Boys BB that was cancelled today has been rescheduled for Mon. Feb. 4th, including the mini cheer clinic performance. HS Boys BB that was cancelled for tomorrow will be played at St. Joe on Feb. 6th. 8th grade regional boys BB will be played Fri. Feb. 1st at home.

Tonight is Senior Night for Girls' Basketball. St. Thomas More does not have enough players for a JV game, so we will play the varsity game at 6:00pm. Come out and support our Lady Spartans and senior Mary Grace Cleinmark.

Bienvenidos - Spanish Classes Host Students From Costa Rica





Due to the possibility of icy roadways, Olympia schools will dismiss early Wed., Jan. 23. OHS and OMS dismiss at noon; elementary schools dismiss at 12:30. All programs and activities are cancelled the rest of the day.

OHS is scheduled for a late start tomorrow. School will not begin until 9:25. As of now, the buses will run at their normal time unless you hear differently from Dr. Wise in the morning. We will run late start schedule rather than the pathway day schedule as we had planned.

Due to hazardous conditions, all Olympia Schools are closed Tuesday, January 22, 2019.

Congratulations to the Olympia Speech team on their showing at the prestigious Downers Grove South tournament. Kelsey Lessen semi finalist. Sam Webb and Max Cleveland 6th in HDA. Walker Spaulding 5th in SOS. Ethan Schopp 2nd in HI. Way to go Spartans!
