The OHS Business Club attended the Disney Institute in Florida, March 1st - 5th. They focused on Teamwork, Leadership, and Technology. They did team building activities, went behind the scenes of the most magical place on earth, spoke to Disney leaders, and learned a plethora of new information and business skills. In order to make this trip possible, the students created the Spartan Store where they make Spartan gear that includes tshirts, sweatshirts, hats, and throw blankets. They also received sponsorships from friends and family, made holiday decorations and sold them at a craft fair, had a fall garage sale, and a few additional things. They are so grateful for the community they live in and for their continued support.

To say that the OHS boys' track team dealt with adverse conditions this past Thursday at the Monticello Invite would be a profound understatement! With strong, steady winds and occasional gusts that would nearly knock you down if you weren't bracing yourself on something, athletes were at a severe disadvantage in most events to produce season-best performances. Despite the obstacles, the group produced 10 season-best efforts: Brody Hish- 16' 6" in the long jump Chase Ragar- 42' 0.5" in the triple jump (3rd place) AND a 55.2 400 m split Keller West- 34' 11.75" in the shot put Cohen Ellis- 2:29.4 on his 800 m split Zacharia Fry- 1:03.63 in the 400 m dash AND 27.72 in the 200 m dash Kadyn Wilcox- 11.74 in the 100 m dash Kaleb Jacobs- 54.0 on his 400 m split And finally, Kadyn Wilcox, Kaleb Jacobs, TJ Gellner, and Brendon Hardimon ran 1:37.00 in the 4x200 m relay. Congrats guys! The team is back in action this coming Tuesday at our Olympia Co-Ed Relays, with field events starting at 4:00 and running events starting at 5:00. Come out and see them compete!
