Spartan families, today we sent home permission slips for the Fan Bus to support our Girls' Softball team at the IESA State Tournament!

📍 Location: Champion Fields, Normal, IL
🚌 Bus departs OMS: 12:15 p.m.
💵 Cost: $5 admission (free for students on free/reduced lunch)

OMS Golfers Take on the IESA Sectionals!
We are incredibly proud of these six OMS golfers who competed in the IESA Sectional yesterday and today!

Unlike many school sports, these golfers don't have a traditional season or an official OMS team. Instead, they put in the work on their own throughout the spring and summer, practicing, playing, and continuing to develop their game — and that dedication earned them the opportunity to compete at the IESA Sectional.
We couldn't be more proud of these six athletes for representing Olympia Middle School and putting their hard work to the test.

Another OMS First Friday Read-A-Thon Post- Our OMS students spent an entire class period today doing something simple but powerful: reading. Whether it was a favorite book they've read a dozen times or a brand new title they couldn't wait to open, our OMS students were locked in, page after page.
Moments like these are at the heart of what we're building here — a culture of literacy where reading isn't just an assignment, it's something our students choose and enjoy.

For a full class period, our halls went quiet as OMS students dove into stories of their own choosing — no assignments, no pressure, just the simple joy of reading. Our First Friday Read-A-Thon gave students a full class period to simply get lost in a book.

This year, we are moving to an entirely online ordering system — there will be NO paper order forms sent home. If you would like to purchase pictures, all orders must be submitted online before Picture Day.
