Meet Cari Roop.
Olympia has revamped the previous family coordinator role and it is now Student Support Services. I, Cari Roop, have taken on this role. I am here to troubleshoot barriers for students and families, provide actionable steps in providing necessary resources for students and families to be successful at school, and offer support. Please do not hesitate to reach out with concerns or issuesto me at the school. I will do my best to help. No request is too big or too small. If I cannot help immediately; I will look for ways. Here are some examples of ways I can support: needed clothing or shoes for school, food for the night or weekend, coats for cooler weather, ideas on ways to encourage your child to attend school, etc.

Preschool screenings are available for children ages 3 through 5. Screenings help determine where children are developmentally in areas such as motor skills, concepts, language, and behavior. Based on the results, families will receive a recommendation indicating whether their child qualifies for the Pre-K program.
For more information regarding the Child Find screening process, you can find resources here:

A huge round of applause to all the students who received a Shoutout for their great behavior in the lunchroom. Your actions don't just make the lunchroom a cleaner, safer place, but they also show respect for your classmates, teachers, and staff.

Today was the day to celebrate success in Mrs. Gray's first grade! Each firstie was recognized for their growth throughout the year at our blue carpet celebration. Special awards were given for most growth and highest scores in benchmark areas. We also celebrated two students who met every benchmark goal set for them this year!
The excitement and pride they shared with each other made this afternoon extra special! These students are going to do some awesome things in second grade!
