
Mrs. Grays firsties ended the year with a blue carpet celebration! Together we cheered on each classmate as we recognized their growth through the year. We also got to take a fun look at comparison first and last day pictures. We all ended the year with a Spartan celebrity status!
We ended our last day with reading "Last Day Blues" and trying last day blues juice! You will be missed first graders, but you're sure to do great things in second grade!










We had our last Parade of Champions for the year on our last day of school. We celebrated our 5th grade class and Mrs. Barnes, who is retiring. Good luck next year! We will miss all of you!

Olympia South Elementary bus riders surprised LaDonna, Mike, and Wayne with a retirement send off. We would like to thank each of you for your years of service, and wish you the best in your retirement!

It was such an 'Awesome Day" at South! Thankful that our fall fundraiser brings this much fun to our school in the spring. Thanks to all who supported and helped out today. The kids had a blast!

To end their Earth Day unit, the third grade classes learned about electric cars from Mr. Mullins. On the way back to school, they helped beautify the town by picking up litter. Thanks to Missy's Sweet Shoppe they also got a "sweet" deal on some Earth Day cookies! 🌎🍪🚮

The first annual STEAM Olympics is being held at Illinois Wesleyan University this year. This is a wonderful opportunity for students with an interest in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics!

Students can sign up for one or more activities. IWU is not providing meals during the event. Food will be available on campus for purchase.
The activities are scheduled from 5 pm on Friday (4/19) through 7 pm on Saturday (4/20). The event culminates with a keynote address from IWU president at 5:30 pm.
