
JV Baseball game at Olympia vs. Dunlap today April 12th is cancelled due to wet field conditions.

Spartans win a nail bitter!! 2 goals in the last 10 minutes to push Girls Varsity Soccer past IVC last night for a 2-0 win! The freshmen stepped up for the girls last night. Ava Sizemore started the scoring with her first career goal! Elyse Eimer continued her scoring hot streak with the brace. Girls are back in action Monday night as they travel to Athens.


Varsity baseball gets a 15-5 conference win at home vs Illini Central. Gellner (2H), Elgin, Tackett, Hohulin, Brammeier, Olson and Kindred with a hit apiece. Gellner gets the win (5IP, 2ER). Spartans on the road tomorrow vs #5 ranked East Peoria.

Outstanding effort for JV baseball beating Havana 18-2. Defense &pitching was solid today. B Tackett went the distance on the mound allowing only 6 hits. B Tackett also led the hitting w/3 hits. N Walker,T Alexander, B Fairburn,&M Labelle all had 2 hits a piece. Great job today!


The varsity and JV Softball games scheduled for today April 11th at Rochester have been cancelled due to wet field conditions.

Big win for JV baseball defeating Eureka 4-0. Strong pitching from M Labelle&R Wilson w/the save. Defense&bats were great tonight w/no errors. Big day at the plate for B Tackett w/a solo Homer &2 singles w/2rbi's and O Berlin w/2 singles. Great Job 👏🏻 all.


Varsity baseball falls at Central Catholic tonight 4-0. Hohulin and Alford with a hit apiece. Kindred and Dabney combined 6IP, 5H, 9K, 0ER. Spartans are home tomorrow vs Illini Central.

The Olympia Girls track team showed up last night for our conference quad in Maroa ready to compete. The Olympia girls took 2nd place as a team and hit some season and all time PR’s.
Our 4x1 team consisting of Grace Whiteside, Mya Downs, Madyson Bridgeforth and Charlee Durham ran a season best of 53.37. Amanda Gonzalez took 2nd place in the 3200 meter run where she ran a smart race and saved enough to have a strong finish with a time of 12:40. Palmer Scheets ran a fast 100 and came in first with a time of 13.83. We had 3 runners in the 800 meter run and all 3 of them ran PR’s. Kaylie Dare came in 1st place overall running a 2:41, Sidney Beavers took 3rd place running a 2:55 and Amalia Suarez Gonzalez ran a 3:00. Melissa Bieber ran her season best in the 100m hurdles with a time of 17 seconds and finished in 2nd place. Charlee Durham ran her first open 400 of the season and finished 2nd with a time of 1:02.5. Jorgi Dupureur ran a PR in the 400 with a time of 1:18. Emma Swartzendruber finished 2nd place in the 1600m run with a huge PR running a 5:37, Amelia Kisnter wasn’t far behind her coming in 3rd also running a PR of 5:45. In the 200m run Palmer Scheets had a 2nd place finish and Mya Downs hit a PR running a 29.16. To finish out the night our 4x4 consisting of Mallory Miller, Aj Witham, Amanda Gonzalez and Grace Whiteside got first place with a fast relay. It was a late night but worth it, everyone had a lot of fun and competed well!

Huge win for JV baseball tonight defeating Central Catholic 5-4. Strong pitching from T Alexander&J Martin to get the save and win. Defense was great and the team executed on offense. B. Rinkenberger hit a 2 run homer&R Wilson&O Berlin each had 2 hits& scored twice.


Varsity baseball takes one on the chin tonight at Williamsville 18-3. Gellner
(2H, 2B, RBI), Kindred(3B, RBI), Birky, Brammeier, Kleinschmidt, Olson with a hit apiece. Spartans are on the road tomorrow vs Central Catholic.

The first middle school track meet of the season was a huge success so why not treat the team to some Kona Ice?!



The OMS Wrestling team State Qualifiers were recognized at the April Board Meeting. The wrestlers placed 3rd in State and had multiple wrestlers earn State Medals including a State Championship medal. Only three of the nine were able to attend the meeting. Congratulations to the boys and their coaches! The future of Olympia Wrestling is bright.


The OHS Contest Play cast was recognized at the April Board Meeting for winning their sectional competition and qualifying for State. Congratulations to these students and their coaches!


Congratulations to our FFA State Award Winner Reed Naughton! He was recently recognized at the Board Meeting for his accomplishments. Reed will also be recognized at the State FFA Convention this summer in Springfield.

Varsity baseball gets a 9-8 walk off win in extra innings vs New Berlin tonight. Kleinschmidt with 3 hits including the game winner, Kindred (2H, 2RBI), seven other players with a hit apiece. Alford (5IP, 8K's, 2ER), Gellner (1IP, 0ER), Dabney (2IP, 3K's) picks up the win.

Girls soccer wins big on the road! Spartans get back on track with a 4-0 win at Cornerstone Christian tonight! 2 goals a piece off the foot of Raquel Birky and Elyse Eimer. Girls back in action on Thursday as they travel to IVC with kickoff at 6:30!
