Olympia Transition Program

The Life Skills classroom has a new name: The Olympia Transition Program (OTP)! The skills we work toward are independence, advocacy, preparation for transition, and having a growth mindset. The OTP provides students with the skills necessary to be active community members upon graduation. Students work on a range of skills from traditional academics, independent living, career skills and so much more! The PAES Lab is a unique feature of the OTP and provides hands-on job skills to our students while mimicking a true work environment with a paycheck. The STEP Work Program allows students to work in the cafeteria, bus garage, library and many more areas around our school! It also connects students with the Department of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) to provide supports after graduation to obtain employment.
