
We had beautiful weather, strong competition, and the chance to honor our two seniors—CJ Moore and Paul Yeary—at last night’s home meet!
The Oly course is a tough one, but our athletes rose to the challenge with several course personal records for this season. Some runners even shaved off minutes compared to last Tuesday’s home meet!

Our Spartans went up against a tough IVC program tonight. While the scores didn’t swing our way, each team kept battling and pushing through the match.

Middle school varsity baseball gets a win on 8th grade night vs Lincoln 14-2. JV wraps up the sweep with a 5-0 win. Both teams are home Wednesday vs Washington Central starting at 4:30.

Tonight the Boys Golf Team celebrated their seniors against Prairie Central and what a night it was! We had three season bests and a career best tonight for the boys. Leading the team shooting even par (36) and a season best was Ethan Barnes followed by Mason Kruger shooting a career best of 41 and Dylan Nowaskie shooting a season best of 42! Next for Varsity was Noah Walker shooting a 46 followed by Owen Knuffman 52 and Gage Pitcher 59. All of this added together for a season team low of 165!
The Seniors we celebrated tonight were: Camden Fosdick, Owen Knuffman, Dylan Nowaskie, and Noah Walker. Congratulations and we can't wait to see what you do in the future!











The Lady Spartans participated in the Eureka Coach Kool Invitational. The team posted a score of 206 coming in 2nd place overall. Placing inside the top 10 were Elyse Eimer in 4th place with a 48, and leading the way for the Spartans in 2nd place was Kennadie Finchum shooting a 45.


The Boys Golf Team traveled last night to Lincolnshire Country Club in Champaign last night to take on St. Thomas More. Dylan Nowaskie led the way for the team with a score of 43 and helped contribute to the teams score of 190. Also contributing were: Noah Walker 48, Ethan Barnes 49, and Mason Kruger 50. The Spartans are back at it tonight for Senior Night at North Greens Golf Course.


The Olympia Lady Spartan golfers competed last night in the Lincoln Scramble. As a team the girls shot a 74 across 18 holes of action. The girls are back in action today at Kaufman Park in attempts to repeat as champions of the Eureka Coach Kool Invitational.

Middle school varsity baseball grabbed a win tonight under the lights in Mackinaw tonight 5-2 with great pitching, defense and clutch hitting. JV got a big win in the first game 13-6 to set the tone for the night. Spartans will host Lincoln tomorrow at 4:30 for 8th grade night.

Middle school varsity baseball showed a lot of grit and toughness today and wins a 10 inning marathon at New Berlin 8-7! JV took care of business 13-1 in their game also at New Berlin. Both teams will be at Mackinaw Monday. JV starts at 5:00, varsity to follow under the lights.

What a day for Spartan volleyball! We hosted the 2nd Annual Olympia Freshman Tournament today, and our very own Spartans battled hard to earn a 3rd place finish overall!
A special congratulations to our setter, Brinklee Burns, on being named to the All-Tournament Team!
A huge thank you to all the teams who came out and made this tournament a success, and to our JV/Varsity players for all their help in keeping the day running smoothly. We couldn’t have done it without you!



OHS cross country had a great night of racing yesterday at the NCHS Open! Some standouts from the night include Jasper Houzenga in the open with a huge PR of 14:08 (2 miles), Ty Gale leading the varsity boys with a PR of 17:16 (3.05 miles), and Mira Kistner placing 17th in the girls varsity race to snag herself a top 25 finish.

HS Boys Golf Team recap:
The Spartans had two matches this week. On Tuesday the Varsity team took on Heyworth, Ridgeview, and Illini Central at Prairie Vista placing second with a team score of 182 and missing out on first by only 3 strokes. Ethan Barnes led the way with a 43 tying him for first for overall score. Scores also counting: Cam Fosdick 45, Mason Kruger 46, and Noah Walker 48.
On Thursday the Spartans hosted a JV match at North Greens against UHigh, Lincoln, and Williamsville. Leading the way for the Spartans was Cooper Otto with a 47, followed closely by Gage Pitcher 48 and Mason Kruger 49. Our other score counting was Carter Mortimer with a 62 followed by Calvin Fonger with a 64 and Owen Knuffman with a 66.

Middle school varsity baseball drops a 3-2 nail biter tonight vs East Peoria. JV gets a big 3-1 win also vs East Peoria. Both teams are at New Berlin tomorrow morning, first game starts at 10:00 with JV to follow.

Preschool screenings are available for children ages 3 through 5. Screenings help determine where children are developmentally in areas such as motor skills, concepts, language, and behavior. Based on the results, families will receive a recommendation indicating whether their child qualifies for the Pre-K program.

The Lady Spartan golf team had a busy week this week! They traveled to Lincoln on Tuesday for a triangular match with Lincoln and Mt. Zion. Junior Kennadie Finchum led the way for the Spartans with a nine hole score of 45. On Wednesday they hosted El-Paso Gridley and Metamora at North Greens Golf Course. Junior Elyse Eimer shot a career best 42! They wrapped up the week competing in the U-High Invite at Weibring Golf Course. With over 100 athletes from across the state competing Kennadie Finchum came in 34th place shooting an impressive 91. The girls are back in action on Monday at the Lincoln Elks for the Lincoln Girls Scramble.
